he London Philharmonic Orchestra would like to invite you to join the Open Sound Ensemble course taking place over Zoom this February half term.
Open Sound Ensemble is a free inclusive music-making group for young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their parents/carers. The LPO are offering free music-making sessions on Tuesday 16 & Wednesday 17 February at 1.45 pm – 2.30 pm, via a group Zoom call from everybody’s homes.
The sessions will include playing music together and individually, meeting musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and having fun. You don’t need to have any musical experience to take part, but if you play an instrument already you can bring it along with you if you’d like to.
Each of the two sessions will be different, so if you apply, it means you’d like to take part in both dates (not either / or).
If you would like to take part in these sessions, apply here.
The deadline to apply is Monday 1 February.
The LPO will follow up with phone-calls with everyone who applies, to explain more about what is involved, and to find out more about your young person.
If you have any questions please get in touch with Hannah Tripp, LPO Education & Community Coordinator hannah.tripp@lpo.
