How we can help your organisation

If you are an organisation whose employees come into contact with people with a learning disability, learning difficulty or autism, you will already be aware of the challenges you and those affected may face.

Our courses aim to raise awareness, improve understanding, create strategies for delivering better support, review and improve current workplace practices, and improve communication between staff and people with a learning disability, learning difficulty or autism.

Throughout the course, our facilitators will share their in-depth knowledge and work with attendees to achieve outcomes tailored to your organisation. As well as being experienced and skilled in working with people with learning disabilities, learning difficulties and autistic spectrum disorders, our qualified course facilitators are also Designated Safeguarding Officers.

Why choose us?

We offer low-cost, high quality training to a range of employers and organisations who need to develop their skills in meeting the needs, requirements and aspirations of young people and adults with a learning disability, learning difficulty or autism. The training is person-centered and values the importance of reflection on how the training applies to specific areas of work.

The content of our courses is based on our core values and the key principles that underpin working with young people and adults with learning disabilities, and covers specific areas that employees have told us would be invaluable in their day-to-day involvement with young people and adults with learning disabilities.

We aim for every participant to leave with a good understanding of the subject and some new tools and strategies to employ in their work. They will also have reflected on their current practice and how to improve it. Ultimately, participants leave our courses with greater knowledge and the skills needed to deliver a better quality of life for supported persons.

The training opened my eyes to the challenges faced by people with learning disabilities/difficulties every day.
