Greenlights

Funded by BBC Children In Need, Greenlights is Greenwich Mencap's support service for families of a young person aged between 5 and 18 who has either

a) a learning disability.
b) a learning disability and autistic spectrum condition.
c) a learning disability and additional behavioural difficulties
.

We offer help and advice to families around understanding challenging behaviour, developing coping strategies and behaviour management skills, understanding sibling rivalry and improving communication skills. We respond to the needs of each individual family and can provide up to ten sessions with our trained worker in your own home.

We also run a monthly support group for families of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Parents and carers of young people aged 5-18 who live in the borough of Greenwich can use the service. The child must live with their parent or carer.
Families can be referred to us by the Community Learning Disability Team, their school or another agency. However, families can also refer themselves
